-----This CD Sampler comes with evaluation
versions of PTS Learning Systems Products, as well as demonstration movies of
selected products. This page will explain how to install and run the various
products. So, let's get started!
-----We have
included sample learning modules on four applications. The titles are as
follows:
- Intro to Freelance 97
- Excel 97 Introduction
- Word 97 - The Basics
- Learning Word Pro 97 - Basics
On-Demand Interactive Learning
-----The Electronic
Performance Support System that allows users to work
with your actual data within your live application . Learn
more about On-Demand.
-----This evaluation
version of On-Demand Interactive Learning is designed to be run from the CD.
However, the complete version of the product can be run from a network server or
local workstation, in addition to the CD-ROM.
-----If
you choose to install Learning Central an icon for On-Demand will be created for
you. If you would like to run On-Demand before installing Learning Central do
the following:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Run.
- Type D:\odsample\ondemand.exe, where D: is the letter of your
CD-ROM drive.
- Click OK.
-----On-Demand
is designed to used in conjunction with other software applications, for example
Excel, Word, Word Pro, etc. These applications can be started either before or
after activating On-Demand.
-----If you would like to view a demo that
presents an overview of On-Demand you can run it by completing the following
steps:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Run.
- Type D:\demos\od_demo.exe, where D: is the letter of your CD-ROM
drive.
- Click OK.
-----The demo will
run approximately 5 minutes. You can exit it at any time by hitting the escape
key.
Learning Central
-----Our new tracking and reporting system
that supports Customizable Skills Assessment and Customizable CBT.

-----This evaluation version of Learning
Central will install some program files on your hard drive (approximately 4.75
MB). However, the majority of files will remain on the CD, thus you will need
to keep the CD in the drive when running Learning Central. To install Learning
Central please follow these steps:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Run.
- Type D:\lc3\setup.exe, where D: is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
- Click OK.
-----The setup
program will create a program group named PTS Sampler. This group will
contain icons for Learning Central and On-Demand.
-----To run Learning Central just start the program by
clicking on the Learning Central icon in the PTS Sampler group.
CustomDOC
-----The industry leading courseware compiling
engine that customizes training materials. Learn more
about CustomDOC.
-----This evaluation version of CustomDOC will
install some program files on your hard drive (approximately 10 MB). To install
CustomDOC please follow these steps:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Run.
- Type D:\product\cdocinst.exe, where D: is the letter of your CD-ROM
drive.
- Click OK.
-----If you
would like to view a demo that presents an overview of CustomDOC you can install
it by completing the following steps:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Run.
- Type D:\demos\setup.exe, where D: is the letter of your CD-ROM
drive.
- Click OK.
-----The demo will
be installed on your hard drive in the ptsdemos directory. You can run
the demo by starting it from the PTS Demos program group.
Integrated Learning Solution

Integrated Learning Solution is designed to be run from the CD. -----If you would like to view the demo please complete
the following steps:
- Click the Start button.
- Select Run.
- Type D:\demos\ilsdemo.exe, where D: is the letter of your CD-ROM
drive.
- Click OK.
-----The demo will
run approximately 5 minutes. You can exit it at any time by hitting the escape
